Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction vs. Repair

Knees: Cruciate Ligaments

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical outcomes of reconstruction and repair of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). Reconstruction of the ACL is the traditional method of surgical intervention, and the prospect of repairing the ligament has gained interest in recent time after being abandoned years ago. The repair allows patients to maintain their native tissue and limits damage to surrounding tissue.
